Short answer: plan on roughly one photo session per guest for an all-day wedding. Each session prints one 4x6 sheet, which is cut into two 2x6 photo strips. Prints are unlimited with our print packages, so this is about knowing what to expect, not rationing. Use the print calculator for your own guest count.

The rule of thumb
Most people visit a photo booth more than once, but they visit in groups. Those two things roughly cancel out. Over a full wedding day, you can expect about one session per guest.
- Weddings (all day): about 1 session per guest.
- School dances and proms: more, around 1.3 per student. Teenagers love a photo booth.
- Birthdays and showers: a little less, around 0.8 per guest.
- Office and holiday parties: around 0.6 per guest.
These are planning estimates, not promises. A shy crowd uses less, a party crowd uses more, and where you put the booth matters a lot (see how to get guests to use it).
Worked examples
- 120-guest wedding: about 120 sessions, or 240 strips. A fraction of the roll.
- 200-guest wedding: about 200 sessions, or 400 strips. Still well under a third of the roll.
- 60-guest shower: about 50 sessions. Digital-only (Snap) may be enough.
Do you need prints at all?
Prints are the part guests take home and stick on the fridge, and they make a great guest book. If you mainly want the photos for yourself, the Snap package gives every guest their photos by text and gives you the whole gallery. Compare the options on the pricing page.
Quick answers
What is the difference between a print and a strip?
The printer produces a 4x6 sheet. For photo strips, that sheet is cut into two 2x6 strips, so one print gives you two strips.
Can the prints run out?
Not in practice. The booth arrives loaded with a full roll, 700 sheets or 1,400 strips, which is several times what a big wedding uses. Every session can also text the photos, and every photo goes into the online gallery.
