How to turn photo booth strips into a guest book

Short answer: set up a table beside the booth with a blank album, pens and double-sided tape. Guests take their photos, stick one strip in the album and write a message beside it. You go home with a guest book full of faces, not just signatures.

What you need

  • A blank album or scrapbook with sturdy pages
  • Double-sided tape or photo corners, pre-cut if possible
  • Fine-tip pens that do not smudge
  • A small table right beside the booth
  • A sign that tells guests exactly what to do

How to set it up

  1. Put the table next to the booth exit, so guests walk past it with prints in hand.
  2. Open the album to the first page, with a sample strip and message already in place.
  3. Leave the tape pre-cut on the table edge. Nobody wants to hunt for the end of a roll.
  4. Add the sign: take a strip, keep one, stick one in the book, write us a note.

Why it works

Because each 4x6 print is cut into two strips, every session gives one to keep and one for the book. It also gives guests a reason to visit the booth, which helps with getting everyone to use it.

You will need the prints package for this. See how many prints you need and the packages.

Not a paper person?

We rent three other kinds: the audio guest book (a vintage phone that records voice messages, included with Complete), the video guest book kiosk, and a working typewriter guest book guests type notes on. All three run themselves, like the booth.

Quick answers

Do we need extra prints for a guest book?

Usually not. Each print is cut into two strips, so guests can keep one and leave one in the book.

Who looks after the guest book table?

Nobody needs to. A clear sign does the job. Ask a family member to check the pens and tape once or twice.
