The Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre lists space for up to 1,000 guests and St. Joseph’s Banquet & Conference Centre up to 400, while The Oakville Club, by the lake, holds about 120. The booth takes the same corner in each; what changes is where that corner should be.
In a large hall, set it near the bar or the dance floor so guests pass it all night. In a club room, the end of the room away from the speakers works better, so guests can hear each other laughing over the band. Either way, we test it before the doors open and come back for it after 11pm.
