How the instant camera guest book works

Three steps. Like the booth, you are involved in none of them.

We set up the table
The camera arrives with the booth, loaded with film, beside your guest book with pens and a small sign that tells guests what to do. It needs no power outlet and no wifi.

Guests shoot and print
The Instax Wide shows the photo before it prints, so guests keep the frame where everyone has their eyes open. One button prints it on wide instant film.

They sign it in
The print goes into your album and the note goes beside it. By the end of the night the book is full, and nobody had to wait for a gallery link.

Tips from the weddings we have done

Bring an album with room to write
Wide instant prints are about 10 cm across. Pick a book with thick blank pages and a little space beside each print for the note.
Pick a film count by guests
Most guests come up as couples or small groups, so 40 photos suits a wedding of about 100. Go to 60 if you want every table, 100 for a big room.
Ask the DJ to mention it once
One line after dinner, "the guest book takes pictures", and the line forms. Before that, most guests walk past a camera on a table.
Put it near the photo booth
Guests with a strip in hand are already in the mood, and the booth prints are a second way to fill the book.

Questions about the instant camera guest book

How much is an instant camera guest book?

$109 with film for 20 photos, $139 for 40, $169 for 60 and $229 for 100, added to any Snap & Go photo booth package. Prices plus HST.

Is it a Polaroid?

It is a Fujifilm Instax Wide, which most people call a Polaroid guest book anyway. The idea is the same; the wide prints just fit two or three people across.

Can guests take a photo without printing it?

Yes. The camera shows the shot first, so guests can retake a frame before it prints. Only the keepers use film.

What happens if the film runs out?

The camera stops printing. Pick a film count with some room to spare; the table above is a good guide, and the photo booth keeps going all night either way.

Do we need to supply anything?

Just the album or guest book. We bring the camera, film, pens and the sign, and set it all up with the booth.
